Stefano Lodetti, Higher Research Scientist at NPL, contributes to the development of advanced measurement techniques and instrumentation through a wide range of collaborative R&D projects both nationally and internationally.
The creation of the new website now provides access to a range of metrological knowledge and expertise, creating an overview of the R&D projects and their results and influence on the electricity field to all electrical power system stakeholders. Moreover, it contains research results, peer-reviewed scientific publications, and smart grids metrology case studies as well as information regarding the European National Metrology Institutes and a broad spectrum of metrology experts
This year Stefano, alongside colleagues, is completing the SEG-NET project which aims at establishing a European Metrology Network (EMN) on Smart Electricity Grids, bringing together the European National Measurement Institutes (NMIs) to define a shared vision and a common strategy on addressing the challenges faced by the electricity sectors in the years to come.
Stefano Lodetti said “ We work hard to develop measurement science up to present and future challenges, and I believe it is crucial to make our research easily available. Everyone in the electricity sector has now an easy and unique access point to the results of years of European research and innovation and to our future activities. I’m really glad to see our the EMN Smart Electricity Grids website finally live, making an impact to industry.”
