In the same way cartographers build maps of cities and countries to help people get around, scientists build maps of tumours to better understand their inner workings. This week, Cancer Grand Challenges, founded by CRUK and the National Cancer Institute, has launched their annual progress magazine celebrating the power of global team science. Here, Professor Bunch discusses the obstacles the team has encountered and overcome, and looks ahead to how the pipeline could revolutionise cancer care.
